Jewelry for Remembrance, Healing & Hope Giveaway here

I just had a baby week last week.  I know some of the Mothers out there do not have children here with them because of miscarriage, stillborn , SIDS and other things that have happened. I wanted to share with my readers that having keepsake and remembrance jewelry helped me. I contacted Sue, at My Forever Child and she agreed to give one of my reader a keepsake Item.

How I found Forever Child.
Almost 5 years ago I had a baby who was stillborn. That is something that no one ever thinks is going to happen to them. I was devastated.  I found other mom's on the internet that had losses, talking to them helped me get by day by day. I did not want her to be forgotten so at first I bought her a Christmas ornament to put on the tree. Through another Mom I found My Forever Child.  I loved their jewelry, I loved wearing a necklace in the memory of my baby.
About the Child Loss Keepsakes
The My Forever Child™ Collection was born out of a desire to create unique keepsakes for those touched by the loss of a child. No matter what age the child died at, it is very important for the grieving parent to have their child remembered and acknowledged. Even though the child is not with them physically, the parental feelings of love do not disappear. Parenthood is not measured by the length of time spent raising a child. The child is always in the parent's heart, hence the phrase "My Forever Child™". Our jewelry and keepsakes are not only for the parents of a lost child, but for anyone who wishes to have a handmade and personalized memorial item. Often times we do not express our feelings to others, so we keep our sadness and grief inside. Our pieces can help you express, without words, on the outside what you feel on the inside. Jewelry is one of the most treasured and personal material possessions we can own. Wearing or displaying an item from the My Forever Child™ collection is a beautiful way to acknowledge, remember, and honor someone who has touched your life, and gone too soon

My Forever Child has
Handprint-Footprint Jewelry
Miscarriage-Infant Loss Jewelry
Fertility-Pregnancy Jewelry

I really like Forever Childs Cremation Jewelry
These unique and hard to find Sterling Silver Pendants are vessels that can hold precious mementos, such as cremains-ashes, hair, flowers, fabric, or soil from a special place.
Each pendant comes with an sterling silver chain, black pouch, funnel, gift box, and a card with a verse from scripture.
Sue's Story
I started My Forever Child 5 years ago because I wanted to make memorial keepsake jewelry to bring comfort to those who had lost a child. My third child was stillborn and his loss left a deep impact on mine and my family’s life. When my subsequent son was born, I realized that I couldn’t forget about Matthew and just “move on”. I wanted to make a difference somehow and bring healing and hope to others who were going through the same thing. My business had evolved and increased tremendously over the last 5 years. I offer a wide range of jewelry for general bereavement, infant loss, fertility support, and mommy, daddy, grandma jewelry. One of my most popular product lines is the custom engraved handprint and footprint jewelry, as the customer loves to wear the actual image of their child. These are unique and tangible keepsakes that bring a lot of peace to the wearer.

I donate part of my sales to child advocacy charitable organizations. I also donate my originally designed lapel pins to memory box programs which are distributed to newly bereaved parents. Since I started a Fan page on Facebook.
I am able to communicate with the customers in a more personal way. It is great to read their feedback and to see the photos that they post to my page. I love being able to touch other’s lives and to offer a light during their dark journey.

I've suffered two losses -- one at 20 weeks and one at 6 weeks. I just got a remembrance necklace from My Forever Child. It's a constant reminder of my two babes that aren't with me and has really helped lighten the load a tiny bit.

I had a miscarriage at 15 1/2 weeks on Dec. 16th, 2009. I love the footprint charm. I was actually thinking of ordering that one to go with one of your bracelets. It has really been hard and I think having this will help me heal.

all the jewlery is beautiful, but I especially love the pendant-footprints necklace. I lost my son on Sept. 2, 2009 at 37 weeks and it's been so devestating for my husband and I. We're lucky to have some momentos (pics, hair, footprints, etc) so I'd love to get my husband a dogtag with our son's footprints as he's been looking for something special he could wear at all times.

I found My Forever Child while looking for something physical to represent my son Ryan. He flew home from my arms almost 5 years ago when he was 9 weeks old. His birthday is this Sunday the 24th. Hard to believe he would have been 5.

I haven't had to go through a loss yet (and I hope I never do), but it's nice to know if I do that there is a place I can go to honor them. My MIL lost her first child (she only lived for about 12 hours) and I would love to win this for so she has something to honor her daughter and her 3 living children.

In 2001 I lost my daughter (Aubrey-Anna) at 27 weeks. She was still born and it was the hardest thing I have had to deal with. There is not a day that goes by I dont think of what she would be like now. The drs don't know what happened. I have nothing to remember her by and this would be something to show the world I miss my daughter!

I lost my first child due to an ectopic pregnancy. I had no reason for it to happen (no internal scarring or anything that would make me more susceptible to a tubal pregnancy)...I had a 1% chance of it happening to me...and it did. It was absolutely horrible! :(
I would love to win this necklace...with my children and my small one who didn't make it on it!

My oldest son, Sheldon, was killed in a car accident on Nov 12,2009. He was 8 days away from turning 28. I think of him every second of every day. I miss him so. I haven't been able to accept this loss very well. I still call his cell phone just to hear his voice. He left behind 3 beautiful children. Sheldon could always make you smile when you needed.

The idea behind it was a male jeweler. Indianapolis provides great materials for making necklaces so he tried and attempted to make one on his own. His wife was pregnant that time, and the idea of making a surprise sparked. After a successful pencil design, he then called it the pregnancy necklace. He submitted it to his wife's friends to put it in final product making. He said that he was lucky that he was from Indianapolis. Jewelers call it the cradle of modern jewelry making, and even artists from the other states visit the city as a pilgrimage stop for their artwork.
