Go Green Lunchbox Review and Giveaway

Help eliminate the estimated 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each child generates per school year

"In 2008, Go Green Lunch Box was founded simply out of "frustration." Packing two lunches everyday, I was appalled at the amount of waste generated by the packaging of single-serve items (sandwiches, juices, snacks, desserts, etc.). All of that – plastic baggies/wrap/cups, paper cartons/bags, cellophane bags – eventually wound up in our landfills. Upon reading a statistic about a typical American child generating 67 pounds of lunch packaging waste each school year, I knew I had to make some changes. After buying food containers and trying, unsuccessfully, to fit all the containers into the lunch boxes we already owned, resulting in either the lids or containers (or both!) not being brought back home from school, I decided to solve the problem . . . hence, Go Green Lunch Box!"

How does the Go Green Lunch box help the environment and save you money? When you have a Go Green Lunchbox you never have to buy or use a baggie again, No more plastic bottles, no more plastic containers. You just put the food in the Go Green Lunch Box food containers. You can just put applesauce in the lunch box, It will not leak out

Each Go Green Lunch Box set comes with an insulated fabric carrier, a five-compartment food container, and a bottle that will hold over nine ounces of water or your child’s favorite drink – all leach- and lead-free. Turn 'n lock technology ensures your child's lunch stays fresh.
The insulated fabric carrier comes in many different colors and patterns. It has a erasable white board so you can write a note that you child when they are at school. What a way to brighten a day!

I received the Houndstooth model. It is beautiful. It looks so sophisticated. My daughter loved it. It doesn't look childish which is very important to my tween. It was hard for me at first to put the food in the Go Green Lunch Box. I Put in cut apples, peanut butter, and other items. When she brought it. I took the lunch box out of it pretty case opened it up put it in my dishwater. So easy. For a treat instead of buying a 4 pack of cookies for $.65 I bought a family pack for a dollar and just threw a couple in. The Go Green Lunch Box has already saved us money.
Our family has been try to be greener this was a very easy step.

Oh, I can't tell you how much I want this. Seriously, I'm buying lunches for my son now because his plastic lined bag is so gross and I refuse to buy another one, and all the local shops are out of the nice hard plastic lunch boxes I wish I'd bought him this year in stead. I HATE the plastic lined bags my son has had the last two years--they rip, they're hard to clean (who can get in those seems. Sure, her box comes in a carrying case of this material...but since the food doesn't actually go in there, but in good hard solid dish-washable plastic, it looks like a real win. I like the Orbit Set myself but would let my son choose which one he wanted if I won.
